GPIO Tools

The Rockface GPIO tools present a set of digital signal lines to your hardware. The tool can then interact with each of these lines as inputs and outputs. See the guide for information on how to program this tool.

Capabilities

• Any number of signals: Need just one signal line? Need one hundred? There's a GPIO tool that will meet your needs.
• Multiple modes: Each signal can be independently configured in any of the following modes:
  • Push-pull output
  • Open-drain output
  • Input
• Fully isolated: Multiple GPIO tools can be used if multiple ground domains are required.
• Any voltage range: Level translators can be fitted to the GPIO tool to accommodate your hardware's needs.
• Arbitrary waveform generation: The Rockface GPIO tools can generate arbitrary digital waveforms. Standard tooling has 1 ms timing resolution, but higher frequencies can be accommodated.
